‘Japanese’ handbag

Black ‘Japanese’ handbag from MM6 Maison Margiela. Made of faux leather, this design showcases the brand's signature white stitches on the back and features a half-round handle with an embossed logo, silver-tone metal hardware and one internal compartment. First introduced as part of the Autumn-Winter 2009 collection. Its distinctive triangular silhouette is inspired by the Japanese art of paper folding, origami. The buttons at its edges allow for the bag to change form through folding, evoking the Maison’s deconstructionist design codes.
