Light beige ‘Recife’ sneakers from Veja. Made of suede, this pair features velcro fastening, embossed logo on the tongue and a white V patch made of rubber and rice waste. The mesh inner lining made from recycled materials was developed to acquire a better resistance to friction. The organic-sourced and recycled insole is made from sugar cane, Amazon rubber, organic cotton and recycled EVA foam. Rests on a cream rubber sole made of organic and recycled materials. The leather comes from farms in Rio Grande do Sul and is L.W.G. Gold certified by the Leather Working Group, which promotes sustainable practices that have a positive impact on the environment in tanneries.
